‘LinE - Language in Education’ Prize

The Inter-University Research Centre ‘LinE - Language in Education’ instituted two Prizes worth 500 euros each as an incentive for participating in the First International Congress of the Centre entitled “Strategie comunicative nell’insegnamento: lingue, linguaggi e discipline/ Communicative Strategies in Education: different languages and disciplines”, organized by the Department of Humanities of the University of Trento (28-30 November 2024).
The awards are intended for young researchers who are members of the ‘LinE - Language in Education’ Centre, carry out scientific research in the field of the Centre's themes and participate in the Centre's Congress with a communication or poster selected by the Congress Scientific Committee.

The prizes were awarded to Elisa Fiorenza and Diana Peppoloni.

Elisa Fiorenza is an Associate Professor of Modern Language Teaching at the DICAM of the University of Messina. She was a research fellow at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Roma Tre University and a contract lecturer at the University of L'Aquila and the University of Rome ‘Foro Italico’. Her main scientific interests include plurilingual education, intercomprehension, reading in L2/FL, and the analysis of spoken language in L1/L2. |

Diana Peppoloni is an associate professor at the University of Perugia. As a computational linguist, she studies the impact of digital technologies on language teaching, with a particular focus on the development and didactic use of corpora. Her research interests range from the study of spoken academic communication to the analysis of relevant aspects in language teaching/learning processes, including the acquisition and use of phraseological elements typical of the target language, such as collocations. |
